I think people are always amazed at how much kids are paying attention and how mature their feelings are at that age. I had my first crush (and kiss for that matter) in preschool as well. Alex has a “friend” you really likes him, but truly wants the one, as all men do…, that pays him the least amount of attention. Steve and I tried to explain, lightly, that he needed to play hard to get. He reports that it seems to be working. :)

And in the words of the brilliant Coley Bear, “I like girls Mommy!” He has no preference; they’re all wonderful to him. ;)

I thoroughly enjoy reading your blogs but I have to say that this one was especially touching. My heart breaks for Sean and ______ but it is good to hear that Sean is standing tall and strong. I am sure that the love of Henry & Ollie (plus the rest of the family) is helping him through this difficult time. Your telling of Henry’s “mystery” love and poor Carmen’s “rejection” was classic. Ahhh – to be a 5 yr. old again! You are one talented blogger and I can hardly wait til the next installment!!
